I have already booked my wedding
reception with Goeglein's. When do
I need to meet with you to discuss our menu and other details?
Typically, we like to meet with you about six to eight weeks
before your reception to discuss the details. By this time, you will
have determined your guest list so we can prepare an accurate estimate of the
catering costs. In addition, there is still sufficient time to order
invitations and make any needed changes.

When do I need to give you a count for my event?
A tentative guest count should be given six to eight weeks
before the event. All final counts are needed the Monday prior to your
event. This final count may be increased up to 2 days prior to the
event, but may not be decreased.

What if my guest count is different than I anticipated?
We set for and are prepared to serve slightly more than your final count
for weddings. However, when your actual guest attendance exceeds the
final count reserved, we will make efforts to provide ample food for all
guests, but there is no guarantee of food availability above your final count.
If you have more guests than your final count, you will be
billed for the actual number of guests served. If you have fewer guests
than your final count, you will still be billed for your final count.

What types of bar service do you provide?
We are licensed by the State of Indiana to provide alcoholic
beverages at our reception hall or at a location of your choice. We can
set up a cash bar, open bar, or a combination (cash and open) bar for your
guests. Refer to our Beverage Menu.
We abide by all rules and regulations regarding the serving of
alcoholic beverages.

Do I need to hire security for my event?
Security is required for Saturday evening events where alcohol
is served and for other events at Goeglein's discretion. Goeglein's is responsible for hiring
security and
currently contracts officers from the Allen County Sheriff Department. You
will be billed for the cost of the security provided at Goeglein's.

What happens if I need to cancel my reception?
If you should find it necessary to cancel your reception, your
catering deposit will be refunded provided that you cancel 30 days prior to
your scheduled event. Your room deposit will be refunded when another deposit
is received for the same date and time.

What kind of payment requirements are there for wedding
receptions?
A room deposit and signed contract
are required within
one week of booking our facility. Once an estimate is received, you must pay 50% of the total
estimate within 1 week. The
remaining 50% is due the Monday prior to your reception. After your
reception, any necessary adjustments will be made based on actual consumption
compared to estimates.

I see a charge on my invoice for a
Service Charge. Is this a gratuity?
The service charge is not a
gratuity. Gratuity is at your discretion and will not be included on
your invoice, but it will be much appreciated by the staff that serve you.
The service charge is an added
amount to defray additional costs associated with serving your guests.
You will find this charge consistent with other caterers in the Fort Wayne
area.
